PROJECT CHALLENGE:
When the 17-time NBA World Champion Boston Celtics moved into their spacious, new state-of-the-art home at TD Banknorth Garden, team management was adamant about creating an in-arena entertainment experience that rivaled the excitement of their new 19,600 seat arena.
The Celtics wanted to produce a high-energy, in-arena video experience that showcased the country's first indoor arena high-definition HD video scoreboard called Garden HDX as well as their 360-degree LED technology that would keep fans engaged and excited throughout the entire game all season long.
The Boston Celtics engaged Tracey Shappro, Executive Producer of VISION Production Group to work closely with the Celtics' game day operations team to create a strategic direction for their game day visual content that would be cost-effective to produce for display over several distribution platforms, be visually-arresting and maximize the Celtics' marketing and game day efforts.
Shappro and team designed and produced a total in-arena entertainment experience that integrated the Celtics' brand identity, season theme, green color legacy, winking leprechaun logo and highlighted players utilizing edgy, hi-def graphics, animation, innovative visual effects, high-energy music and sound design that had Celtics fans on their feet. Literally.
