VISION Production Group was hired by NRG Energy to produce the live national product launch for eVgo, the nation's first privately funded, comprehensive electric vehicle (EV) charging solution and national network.  The City of Houston was chosen for the launch due to Houston's status as the Energy Capital of the World.  The eVgo national launch was held at the George R. Brown Convention Center and featured NRG Energy CEO David Crane, Houston Mayor Annise Parker, President Obama's first National Security Advisor, General James Jones and National Highway Traffic Safety Administrator David Strickland.  Guests included elected officials, electric vehicle OEMs, new energy partners and the media.

VISION worked with NRG Energy to showcase the eVgo charging station network along with NRG's partners from across the nation including Walgreens, Best Buy, HEB, GE, NISSAN, TOYOTA, Reliant Energy and more. 

VISION created a state-of-the-art EV showcase featuring the latest in electric vehicles which included the NISSAN LEAF, Aptera,  Smart USA and Tesla.  A 360 degree video screen surrounded the entire event to create an emersive event experience.  The 360 screen featured marketing videos, green advertising imagery, event key messaging, partner logos and special animation electric effects created for the event.

VISION also produced a series of four EV education videos for the eVgo launch website for media and public education which included:

    *Refueling Options
   *Expansion: The eVgo Network
   *Electric Vehicles
   *Moving Clean Energy Forward

VISION also produced original creative for NRG's opening and closing videos which played live during the event.  The opening video featured key messaging that a "new era has arrived'.  The closing video entitled "The Journey" was designed to portray the ease of electric vehicle transportation and charging on the road ahead with eVgo.
